Sarah Smith is an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Rochester, teaching primarily in the Audio and Music Engineering program. Her research focuses on time frequency analysis and statistical signal processing of reverberant audio with a focus on instrumental acoustics and vibrato. In addition to leading the acoustics portfolio course, she teaches a wide range of courses in the audio and music engineering program, including topics in audio signal processing, intro acoustics and electronics, and engineering design projects.
